In the small town of Ropoto, a remarkable structure has stunned visitors worldwide — the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, now leaning at an incredible 17-degree angle.
This makes it even more tilted than the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The church was not always like this. In 2012, a massive landslide shifted the ground beneath the town, causing buildings to collapse. But incredibly, the church moved downhill over days while staying structurally intact, and has remained standing ever since — without major cracks.
Visitors say walking inside feels disorienting, with the steep tilt creating a surreal, almost gravity-defying experience.
